This event holds particular significance as it coincides with Men’s Health Week, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the health challenges faced by men and promoting strategies for improving their wellbeing.
The Katitjin Blue Mind Place represents a collaboration between Mens Talk, a Health Promotion Charity and the Mental Health Commission WA. This innovative Prevention and Early Intervention initiative aims at addressing the various issues relating to men’s mental health. We recognise the unique pressures and stigmas that men encounter when dealing with mental health concerns, and their reluctance to seek help and support. This hub seeks to provide a welcoming and supportive space, in a non clinical setting, where men can access resources, guidance and referral to further support and services..
As we celebrate Men’s Health Week, there is no better time to emphasise the importance of prioritising men’s mental health within our community. By attending the launch event, you will not only lend your esteemed presence but also amplify the message of support and understanding for men facing mental health challenges. Your advocacy and leadership in this area would greatly contribute to our collective efforts to foster a culture of openness and resilience regarding men’s mental health. Your attendance at the launch would underscore the significance of this cause and inspire confidence in our ongoing endeavours.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us for this milestone occasion for Men’s Mental Health and Wellbeing in WA.
